Innovative producer Brandon Thomas (who hails from the ATL) is back with a new project apptly titled Eclectic with features from D.R.A.M. ("Flex"), ManManSavage ("Mission Impossible"), OG Maco ("Mission Impossible"), Leven Kali, Caviar, Lil' Yachty ("Floss Everyday"), Tei Shi ("QUADRUPLEPLATINUM" and "Feeling"), Luca ("Feeling"), Ben Stevenson ("Stereo Invasion"), UnoTheActivist ("I Need That"), ThouxanBanFauni ("I Need That"), and Jaden Smith ("All About You"). Brandon Thomas helms the production on the album along with additional help from Cam, Lev, BT, Pablo Dylan, and Luca on a few tracks.

Cool Nutz - Best & Worst (Remix) ft Slum Village & Bosko (produced by TOPE)

Super prolific Portland MC Cool Nutz teams with Detroit’s own Slum Village on the “Best & Worst” (Remix) from his forthcoming N.P.Y. (Never Play Yaself) LP, due out February 23rd. Also featuring longtime collaborator Bosko - most recently known for his work with Outkast's Big Boi, the track produced by Portland-to-Oakland transplant and BROKEBOYSYNDROME architect TOPE. An ode to crew love punctuated by hard verses, “Best & Worst” is the fruit of Cool Nutz’s time spent out on the road touring with Slum Village for a good portion of 2015. The end result is a lush remix that flashes back to the heyday of the sped up sample and stands as a true testament to the sonic influence of Slum founder and celebrated beat god J Dilla. Kaydee - "AmeriKKKa's Baby"

Mississauga rapper Kaydee unveils his newest single titled "AmeriKKKa's Baby." The concept behind the record is very important. Even though the U.S. is a different country, the same issues that plague African Americans are the same issues black males face in Toronto, Canada as well. The prejudice, the injustice, the police brutality are just some of the problems we all face. A lot of artists like to speak about the hood yet never want to touch on the real issues that are prevalent in these neighbourhoods but Kaydee feels someone has to give voice to these people. After staying quiet for most of 2015, Kaydee intends to make an impact with a new 4-track EP coming out in the middle of February and following it up with an actual full length project in the summertime. Drewski Gottem featuring Gaston Martin - "Cold Day"

Atlanta's newest act Drewski Gottem (@DrewskiGottem) drops his debut smash for our listening pleasure this week. The single “Cold Day” is a certified club banger. The Atlanta rapper/songwriter recruits fellow ATLien Gaston Martin (@GastonMartin220) for this club record. Great production as well from TJeezyGotSauce on this record. Drewski and Gaston definitely makes a great first impression on this track and this street/club anthem will be featured on Drewski's upcoming mixtape, "DruPac (Drug Life)" is due out later this Spring.

Tokyo Cigar - "Pet Sounds of Science" (Remix Album)

Maryland producer, Tokyo Cigar starts off 2016 with a nostalgic offering, remix album "Pet Sounds of Science." The redux was constructed in 3 days using vocals from Beastie Boys and samples from The Beach Boys (with some classic hip hop drums added in for good measure), as a freebie in preparation for the upcoming Gravity Academy Recordsreleases. The Tokyo Cigar produced Tribe Of Judah album and Tokyo Cigar's new solo full-length, both set for release this year. Watch this "Making Of... "Pet Sounds of Science" behind the scenes video.

Aww, Silky Silky Now! Meek MIll Goes After 50 Cent In A New Diss Song!

Meek Mill has finally got the courage to stand up to and call out his now former friend 50 Cent on a new diss track titled "Gave Em Hope" from his just released EP, 4/4. In his new song, Meek Mill poked fun of 50 Cent's finacial position. 50 Cent recently filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection three days after a judge ordered 50 Cent to pay $5 million dollars to Rick Ross' baby momma Lavonia Leviston for leaking a 2009 sex tape online, without her permission (“You tried to go Money May with the paper…but now you in debt…’cause you never was that”) and claimed the G-Unit general "was co-signing rats" (“You know the game…if you cosign a rat…you forever a rat”). Four months ago, 50 Cent took a picture with the victim of Rick Ross’ Kidnapping and Assault Case and posted the pic on Instagram.

Coming out of middle Canada but making moves coast-to-coast, the visuals for "Buck Up!" were filmed through-out various locations in Vancouver, BC. Legendary NJ rapper Redman recently dropped his 8th studio album, Mudface and has been showing much praise to none other than Portland Producer/MC, Theory Hazit. “That’s Oregon’s finest, the beats he has been giving me been phenomenal" say Redman in a recent interview with DJ Klyph, also shouting out Theory's talents on the Combat Jack Show, BET 2015 Hip Hop Awards, and in a recent BTS video with WatchLoud. Workaholic and word slinger Larry June and Taylor Gang in-house beat crafter and former Hazlewood resident Slegdren Slegdren have recently working on a rapper/producer joint album together. The album's lead single, "You A Cat," pokes fun at wannabes who call themselves "thugs" but in actuality are really house cats or home bodies who avoid going out and never leave their apartment. These home bodies prefer to binge watch episodes of Orange Is the New Black on Netflix and browse the internet for hours.
